About six months ago I was running Norton 360, Windows 8 and a virus shut Norton down and the hard drive was badly infected. Staples wiped the drive but but the computer still wasn't right so I got a new Dell, Windows 8 and last week the same thing happened.

A virus was able to shut Norton down, the computer is badly infected and will have to be re-formatted. Not even talking about data loss, Norton's ineffectiveness has cost me over a thousand bucks. How can a so-called anti-virus be shut down so easily by a virus? I will never ever buy another Norton product.

The Staples tech told me that most of the really bad infections they see had slipped by Norton. Never, ever again.

Review about: Norton Antivirus Antivirus.

Monetary Loss: $1000.
