Norton "tech support" oxymoron

by phone or online chat is a waste of time

they will not do anything to help you except waste your time and give scripted non answers

they know nothing beyond there script

supervisors and manager can careless about any complaint ( they will also hang up on you)

any complaint will get ignored

they will not answer any simple or valid question

we the customer ( who pays for a service) seem to be a disturbance to them

your basically just talking to yourself when you contact them with any issue or problem and will rarely get any help beyond a reinstall

Product or Service Mentioned: Norton Antivirus Technical Support.

Reason of review: Poor customer service.

I didn't like: Scare tactics by norton virur reps, Talking to overseas reps, Customer service and lack of responsiveness.

Whenever I have purchased a new computer over the years the first thing I do if Norton is pre-installed is to get rid of it and make sure to use the clean uninstall to make sure all the junk left behind when your uninstall it is totally removed. I have successfully used one of a few other anti virus software programs that are free to use, eg., Avast with nowhere near the problems I had with Norton.

No reason to pay for antivirus protection and with other free software like Malwarebytes, CCleaner, etc. you are well-protected from viruses and malware.
